Hurricane Season has Arrived!
Can you believe it, its starting all over again. Alberto has arrived in the Gulf!
Lots has happened since November. We had Karen and Bruce here to help the insurance industry deal with Wilma. They had spent a couple of months in New Orleans after Katrina, but when Wilma hit they knew they had to come to Florida. We set them us nicely in the spare 2 bedrooms. It was much nicer than where they were staying in N’Orleans and the clients were much closer. It took an hour in and an hour out for Bruce to get to the area he had to cover up there. Here it took at the most 20 minutes. They were quite shell shock when they got here, this was nothing compared to Katrina, but some good food and good company and they were their old selves again. They stayed here until the beginning of February. We had some fun. Karen and I visited Sea World with Erica and Liz. She actually rode Kracken, which is an amazing roller coaster. We went for an airboat ride in the Everglades with Erica and Sean. Bruce actually enjoyed himself I think.
They were here to share the news of Liz’s upcoming arrival. A girl we are told. She’s named her Ella Isabel Price evenutally. Unfortunately the relationship with the Dad is on shaky ground and he moved home with his parents too in North Carolina. Liz is doing fine, she has a stable job (with insurance coverage), so she’s moved back in with us for support. The Doc has his vacation scheduled for 2 days before her due date, so he wants to induce her on the 10th of July. Erica threw Liz a lovely shower on May 22nd. Liz received many, many gifts. Don’t tell her, but check out the pics of her. She’s only gained 20 lbs as of the last visit. We’ll see tomorrow how much more.
